Hi and welcome to my Instant Pot/air fryer Cooking Classes Information Page! Here you can find where & when  (& how) I'm teaching Instant Pot/air fryer cooking classes both in person and online. I offer a variety of Instant Pot classes from my Basics series: teaching you how to start off with the water test to showing how to bake a New York Style Cheesecake or more specialty classes such as making Instant Pot Desserts, Hearty Main Dish Salads, Breakfast Meal Prep, and more. Class Descriptions

Air Fryer Advanced (New!): If you thought air fryers were just for making crispy fries or reheating pizza, think again! Get ready to level up your air frying skills as Kirsten’s demonstration takes you on a journey through the ins and outs of air fryer cooking, showing you how to create a wide variety of dishes without turning on your stove. You’ll learn how to whip up delicious and healthy meals in no time, all without sacrificing flavor or texture. Whether you’re an omnivore, a veggie fanatic, or a dessert enthusiast there are recipes for everyone. This live class will be recorded so you can revisit the lesson on demand.

Air Fryer Veggies: Using an Air Fryer to cook vegetables is quick—and the healthy results are delicious! In this class Kirsten will demonstrate a variety of recipes using in-season local and/or commonly available vegetables including Lemon Pepper Broccoli, Miso Sesame Kale Chips, and Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can follow along at your convenience.

All About Pasta in the Instant Pot: Why wait for a large pot of water to boil or haul a heavy pot over to the sink to drain noodles? Using the Instant Pot to cook pasta is fast and easy. In this class Kirsten will demonstrate a classic Mac and Cheese, comforting BBQ Beef and Pasta Casserole, and spicy Dan Dan Noodles. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards.

Breakfast Meal Prep (New!): Need new make-ahead breakfast recipes to start your day in a healthy way? Join Kirsten live online from her kitchen where she’ll demonstrate Air Fryer Poached Eggs, Instant Pot Steel-cut Oats, Chimichanga Breakfast Burritos, Overnight Breakfast Grain Bowls, Egg Bites 3 Ways, and more! Additional make ahead breakfast recipes included in the handout, and participants receive the link to class recording to re-watch at your convenience.

Chili Night with your Instant Pot: The electric pressure cooker makes a faster and more flavorful Pot of chili compared to stove top or slow cooker—and you can make your sides in the Instant Pot, too! In this live online class Kirsten will demonstrate Easy Weeknight Chili, Turkey Verde Chili, and vegan Quinoa Chili, along with Instant Pot “Baked” Potatoes and Loaded Cornbread. We’ll also discuss how you can adapt your favorite recipe for pressure cooker use. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. Cook Along With Me Noodle Soups: Discover how easy it is to make soups in the Instant Pot and have a pot of hot soup ready to eat at the end of class! In this online class Kirsten will walk you thru making Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup while you follow along in your kitchen. She will also demonstrate Chicken Wonton Soup and a vegan Minestrone soup while our meals are cooking. Participants will receive an extensive recipe handout and ingredient list along with the link to join prior to class. Cooking Beans in the Instant Pot: Are you ready to take your bean game from basic to BOOM? Sick of the soak? Kirsten will show you how to take those dry beans from neglected shelf-dwellers to savory superstars in record time with the help of the Instant Pot—no overnight soaking required! You’ll be amazed at how versatile, economical, and easy it is to whip up a batch of beans for any occasion—whether you’re meal prepping for the week or entertaining guests. They’re made in an electric pressure cooker! Join me online via Zoom to learn how to create your own Instant Pot Desserts. Instant Pot Basics #1 Intro to the Instant Pot: You’ve heard about this new kitchen appliance. Maybe you got one as a gift but haven’t yet opened the box. Now is the time! In this introductory class my goal is to get you comfortable with your electronic pressure cooker. I'll be making appetizers like deviled eggs from Easy Peel Hard Cooked Eggs, Fast Rosemary ‘Roasted’ Potatoes, and Cocktail Meatballs. We’ll talk about the pressure cooker terminology and share ideas for how you can best utilize your Instant Pot in your household meal planning.

Instant Pot Basics #2 Cooking from Frozen: Forgot to thaw the package of meat and it’s dinnertime already? No worries—the electric pressure cooker can help. In this class we’ll discuss cooking frozen meats under pressure while I demonstrate Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice Soup. Handout includes tips for how to prepare larger cuts so that they are ready to go direct from freezer to Instant Pot.

Instant Pot Basics #3 All in One Instant Pot Cooking: Use the electric pressure cooker to prepare your entree and a side vegetable at the same time, freeing you up to enjoy a more hands off kitchen experience. In this class we’ll discuss several methods of all in one cooking while I demonstrate Turkey and Wild Rice Meatloaf with Sweet Potatoes and more.

Instant Pot Basics #4 Pot in Pot Cooking aka Egg bites, Cheesecake, and more!: You’ve got an Instant Pot. You may have some staple recipes you make time and again, but are you PiP curious? In this class we’ll delve into Pot-in-Pot cooking in the electronic pressure cooker. From Sous Vide Sausage & Egg Bites, to Individual Steel Cut Oatmeal, to my personal favorite—Instant Pot New York Style Cheesecake—I'll help you on your way to being comfortable using this terrific kitchen tool. 

Instant Pot Holiday Hacks: Looking for a way to shake up your holiday cooking routines and impress your guests with some delicious, time-saving dishes? From turkey stock to cranberry sauce, make ahead mashed potatoes to sweet pumpkin cheesecake, Kirsten’s cool cooking hacks with simplify your kitchen efforts during the hectic holiday season. Discover how to turn your pressure cooker into a holiday miracle worker from the comfort of your own home in this live cooking demonstration. An extensive recipe handout is included, the class will be recorded and available to rewatch on demand.

Local Produce in the Air Fryer (New!): Make the most of your local produce AND your air fryer in this live online class. Kirsten will demonstrate several seasonal vegetable recipes including Easy Carrot Dip, Sea Salt Beet Chips, and Eggs in Zucchini Nests. A handout with additional recipes will be provided, and this class will be recorded so that you can follow along at your convenience.

Local Produce in the Instant Pot: Do you ever find yourself gathering produce with the best of intentions, only to end up staring an overflowing crisper without ideas or motivation? The electric pressure cooker can help! Join Kirsten online via Zoom for a live cooking class where she demystifies this kitchen tool while giving tips and tricks to turn the bounty of local produce—from the market, the farm share, or your garden—into dishes on your table. Recipes demonstrated during class include Herbed Barley Salad, Raspberry Beet Smoothie Bowls, Strawberry Lemon infused water, and a Summer Squash & Potato Vegetable Tian. Recipe handout will be provided with the Zoom link prior to class. Main Dish Salads: Are you ready to add some new recipes to your Instant Pot regular rotation? Let’s keep the kitchen cool while eating well this summer by using the electric pressure cooker to quickly cook proteins and grains for hearty main dish salads. Join Kirsten in her kitchen via your computer or phone as she demonstrates Instant Pot Chicken Caprese Salad, Southwest Shrimp and Corn Salad, and Wild Rice Greek Salad. Mediterranean Wellness Bowls: Join us live online to see how you can make vegan Mediterranean Wellness Bowls easier/faster using an electric pressure cooker and air fryer. First Kirsten will demonstrate how to pressure cook a variety of grains (barley, farro, and quinoa) and vegetables (Moroccan carrots) before switching cameras to an air fryer to make Colorful Greek-seasoned Cauliflower and Air Fryer Za’atar Tofu. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned home cook, this live online class is perfect for anyone who wants to take their meal planning to the next level. From “a Month of Meatless Mondays” to “Taco Tuesdays Ten Ways” to “Souper Sundays”, there’s something for everyone. Megan and Kirsten believe that meal planning should be fun! They’ll share their favorite tips and tricks for making meal prep a breeze—from grocery shopping to prepping ingredients in advance—in a handout full of recipes. The live classes will be recorded so you can rewatch at your convenience. Kirsten is a champion of cookware who enjoys teaching Instant Pot/air fryer classes from her kitchen with 3 dogs underfoot. Megan is a master of meal planning who manages her busy boys’ schedules and school with grace and style—and would never have a dog in her kitchen!

Join Kirsten live online from her home kitchen as she demonstrates a variety of meals using cupboard, freezer, and/or other long-storing ingredients. Summer Side Salads from the Instant Pot:  Looking for variety in your summer meal planning? Join Kirsten in her kitchen via your computer or phone while she demonstrates a variety of light and fresh summer side salads including Colorful Quinoa Salad, French Green Lentil Salad, and Italian Cauliflower Salad. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. Summer Sippers: Quench your thirst during the dog days of summer with this trio of treats. In this class Kirsten will demonstrate how to do a water bath canned Bumbleberry Syrup which is a shelf stable sauce that you can flavor sparkling water or cocktails to get that summer flavor any time of year. She will also make two infusions that can be stored in the fridge: a Blueberry Ginger Shrub and a Rosemary Lemon Syrup. These concoctions can be added to cocktails, iced tea or lemonade, or fizzy water to cool off with homemade flavor.

Summer Snacks and Sippers (New!): Join Kirsten in her home kitchen in this live online cooking class as she demonstrates a variety of recipes to brighten up your summer, including quick air fryer vegetable-forward seasonal snacks plus a Blueberry-Ginger Shrub and Rosemary Lemon Syrup to liven up your warm weather libations. Summertime Wellness Bowls (New!): Up your kitchen game this summer! Using an air fryer or Instant Pot, Kirsten will demonstrate an Antipasto Rice Salad Bowl, Buffalo Chicken/Cauli Bowl, Creamy Corn Bucatini Bowl, and more. Gather new ideas for building your bowls--from Quick Pickled Carrot Ribbons or Pickled Grapes, to Quick Toasted Nuts or Savory Seed Brittle--and tie it all together with a luscious Make Ahead Vinaigrette or Simple Yogurt Sauce with 3 variations.
